2 Year Old Has 102 Fever, Lost Appetite, Tummy Pain. Dr Said Ear Infection, Advised Amoxocyllin. Still Pain. Any Advise ?
My 2 year old has 102 fever , she has lost her appetite , and she is saying that her tummy hurts constantly. I took her to her pediatrician , and was told that she had an ear infection . It has been three days since her appointment and she has been taking her amoxocyllin, but she is still having tummy aches. She wakes up constantly throughout the night, and i have not gotten any sleep for about a week. PLEASE HELP !
Hello I am Dr Ravinder Sharma ENT surgeon
On the basis of information provided it appears that the cause of fever is not ear infection > there are two reasons to support this
1. There is no symptom like pulling of ear
2. There is no improvement with the medicines given for ear infection
I also undestand that my advise cannot be replaced with a doctor's consultation as I have not seen the patient. If I was there in your place I would have changed the doctor
I hope this answers your concerns. Feel free to contact me if your need more information on this
With warm regards
Ravinder Sharma
