23 Year Old Had Surgery To Repair Broken Bones In The Wrist. Smoking Marijuana. Will It Affect The Healing?
Hello- my 23 year old son had surgery 3 months ago on 2 broken bones in his wrist after a traumatic fall. He has stopped drinking alcohol to help with the bone s mending ( he has a plate and screws in his wrist and it is just starting to mend with new bone material) but I just noticed that he is smoking marijuana. Is this also going to impede his healing?
There is no relation between marijuana and impaired healing of bone. So it is not going to effect the healing process. It will be better if you persuade your son not to smoke weed or pot.
Wish him good Health.
