26 Weeks Pregnant, Problems With Bowel Movement. Should I Mention This To My GP?
Hi, I am presently 26 weeks pregnant with my third child. I have been having some issues with my bowels that I haven't had during my past pregnancies. I have had some stomach cramping, flat stools (this isn't a new symptoms) and a feeling that I am not completely emptying my bowels when I go to the toilet. I am just not sure if these things are just because of the pregnancy or if it is something I should be mentioning to my GP.
welcome to HCM! this constipation is a common symtom during pregnancy. u should definetly tell your doctor. take excess fluids, greenleafy vegetables. do light exercise like walking. sometimes may require mild laxative.
Hello, Thanks for posting to HCM, Anemia may contribute to your constipation. And some iron tablets used to treat anemia may actually make constipation. Eat high fiber diet. Try to avoid drinks which make you wee more often, such as tea, coffee, cola. Some Exercise also help to prevent Constipation. Wish you for good health. Regards Dr.Sharmila Bura
