26 Year Old With Polycystic Ovaries. Duphaston Prescribed. Chances Of Pregnancy?
Hai doctor....I am 26 years old....I am having polycystic ovarian disease and I was consuming medicine to make my periods regular, during past a few years....After marriage, I was advised to take duphastone and I am taking it for past 3 months from 15th to 24th day of my periods....My last period date was on 22march and the last date of duphastone consumption was on 14 april...so today is 8th day after the medicine ends...what is your opinion regarding my preganancy? Is there any chance that I am pregnant? I didnt do my pregnancy test yet...should I do the test or should I wait for some more days?
Hello,
I would suggest you to go for the pregnancy test, if you have not got your periods yet, as there are chances of pregnancy.
Even if the test is negative I would advice you to wait for a few days and repeat the test as there are chances of the test to be positive after few days if the hormone levels are not upto the mark.
You can also go for ultrasound of pelvis to confirm the pregnancy.
All the best, take care.
