3 Year Daughter, Suffering From Fever, Vomiting Sensation. Taking Paracetamol, Ibuprofen. Remedy?
Dear doctor,
My 3 year old daughter weighing 15 kgs is suddenly having fever for the last 2 days. we are presently out of indian in a foreign country were a doctor with english speaking ability is remote so we started self medication with medicines brought from india and gave her with paracetamol and ibuprofen suspension 2.5 ml every 5 hours but the fever decreased by the time the syrup is given and again surfaced back and she is active but refusing to take food because of vomiting sensation. Please suggest a remedy, Thanks in advance.

For fever, you can give paracetamol syrup every 6th hourly depending on the presence of fever.
Do tepid sponging with lukewarm water if there is high grade fever.
Give plenty of oral fluids and soft diet.
Physical examination by the pediatrician is necessary to look for the focus of infection and investigations if required.
So consult the pediatrician for further management of the child.
