My 3 year old child was recently bitten by another child at creche, so badly that the skin was penetrated and my child was bleeding from the bite. I had to take my child to a doctor to have the wound cleaned. If the other child had AIDS , what would the chance be that my child could get AIDS from the bite? i.e. from saliva from the other child mixing with blood from my child? what action should I take to determine if my child has AIDS? What is my right to know the HIV status of the child that bit him to know what action to take?
