my 3 year old son goes to daycare. a few weeks ago he come home with a temp of 103. it lasted 6 days. we went to the drs. and they thought it was strep that came back from the prior week. strep came back negative. they did a cbc and everything was fine they also took urine and that was fine as well. last test was flu and that came back negative. his fever went away and came back a few days later just for one day. now he was fever free for about a week but last night woke up with a temp of 102.8. any answers would be greatly appreciated.

intercurrent viral infections are prevalent and couldn't be avoided among kids attending day-care and pre schools; if he continues to be unhealthy with raising temperature and reduced activity, then he needs partial septic screen to rule out bacterial infections; if they become normal, you don't have to worry about it.
