3 Year Old Has A Cut On The Nose After A Fall. How To Get It Treated Without Scarring?
Hi, my son yesterday fell and cut the top of his nose, we went to er and the placed plastic strips on it. did not glue it.
About 1cm long, straight line.
How do i treat it, What is the best way to treat it, to stop scarring. They said not to get it wet for 5 days and the strips will fall off.
What cream should i put on, how long before its gone.
My son is 3 years old

Management of a clean cut depends on its location and depth. Healing is a natural phenomenon and we just facilitate it. Scarring of the wound will depend on the depth of the wound and there is no way of preventing it. The ER team placed the strip as the wound must have been very shallow and must not have required suturing. There is no need of applying any cream on the wound unless it is infected.
