33 Weeks Pregnant, Swollen Purple Limbs, Baby Not Moving
Im 33 weeks pregnant, and lately I have been getting really swollen legs feet and hands that turn purple and redish. I really haven t been feeling the baby move a lot since the swelling became worse. I can get the swelling to go away if I elevate or take a bath but if I stand or start doing any work it comes back. Should I be concerned?
hi,
the possible causes for your symptoms are,
-physiological edema: it can occur due to prolonged standing or usually at the end of the day, the reason is when uterus press on the blood vessels it will lead to escape of fluid from capillaries etc.
or pathological edema due to hypertension etc,
-raynuad's disease: it is a autoimmune disease in it due to exposure to cold the blood vessels become constricted when that relieves hyperemia occurs and edema can develop,
-coagulation abnormalities due to some problem to baby inside,
anyhow as sometimes there could be serious underlying cause, you should not neglect and consult your doctor as early as possible.
take care.
