4 Bulging Discs In Lumbar Area. Options Other Than Surgery?

I have 4 bulging discs in my lumbar area. After having an MRI, my general practice doc told me to find a neurosurgeon that my insurance would cover. Do I need to start with a surgeon or a neurologist? I don't want surgery, if I don't have to. I'm trying to decide which kind of doctor to see . Can you help me know where to start?

Hello. The doctor recommended to treat your bulbing discs is the neurosurgeon.
In the treatment of bulbing discs initially are used conservative methods (drugs, physiotherapy, local injections). If conservative treatment is not effective, surgery is indicated but tell you that the current surgical techniques are with minimal incision, less discomfort and fewer days of hospitalization.
I wish you good health.
