4 Months Old With Lump Under Chin Which Is Pretty Firm
Hello i have 4 month old son who is struggling with a severe case of eczema . Severe being that it covers more than 80% of his body in littl white itchy bumps that either get crusty or become red weeping and inflamed. I ve tried natural creams n have identified milk as a trigger. I ve just found a lump under his chin...its pretty firm like an oval. Its about an inch big and doesn t seem to hurt. What could it be? I just took him to his pedi today n this wasn t seen...should i take him to the er?
Hello yumii;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The lump below the chin could be an enlarged lymph node which are palpable in children and even it may be if there is any sort of surrounding infection.Since the lump is not hurting him it may be a benign enlargement and no reason to worry.Just for another opinion you can consult your Paediatrician and get the lymph node examined.
Take care.
Thanks
