4 Year Old Son, Vomiting, Low Grade Fever, Tiredness. Ate Blueberries Past Expiry Date. Is This Due To Food Poisoning?

Hello. My son is four and last
Weekend vomited
For one day due to what we think was eating some blueberries that were well past the expires date. Since
Then he has had a very poor appetite not even wanting ice cream
And eating not even a full meal a day. He also is complaining about being tired and seems to have low energy. He also has a low grade fever. Could this be a lasting
Effect from food poisioning?

Hi thanks for your question.
The symptoms your child is having after taking out dated blue berries are of food poisioning.Most probably these out dated berries have induced low grade food poisioning in him resulting in vomitting, loss of appetite and low grade fever. Lot of time has already passed,he doesn't need any active intervention.Give him plenty of fluid to drink in the form of plain water and juice.Low grade fever can be managed with small dose of paracetamol.Consultation with childeren specialist is advisable.
