4 Year Old With Pain And Redness Below The Nose. What Is Wrong?

my 4yr old came in from outside playing.. she was acting normal and said she had to go to the bathroom all of a sudden within 5seconds of her leaving the room she starting screaming that it hurts. I ran to her and she said the skin right under her nose above her top lip was hurting. It is really red and spreads over to her cheek but thats it. Its just a small area.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

It could be skin allergy or some infection. The rapid spread indicates more towards allergy.

It is very difficult to come to a diagnosis without physical examination.
If it is skin allergy then antihistaminics prescribed by your doctor will help in control of of symptoms.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
