5 Months Pregnant. Ultrasound Scan Done. Normal Report?
Hello Dr... My wife is in her 5th month of pregnancy.. her reports have the following. Single live intra-uterine featus invariable presentation. growth response to 15-16 weeks featel heart rate 159 beats per minutes (from 5th month)adviced repeat U/s in 5th month to R/O any anamoly. 4D scanning Placenta : anterior GR 1 extending to lower segment present( not to OS). cervical length : 33 mm featel weight : 127 g +-19
hi ckmenon, the usg of your wife is in the normal range for 15-16 week fetus, reconfirm her period of gestation. The placanta is extending to the lower segment which may cause mild problem if it does encrouch on the lower segment further. Repeat the scan between 18-22weeks to rule out any birth defect and later in the pregnency to see the position of the placanta.Otherwise everything seems to be normal so sit back any enjoy the pregnency and await for your bundle of joy.
