Hello,
Your sugar level of 174 mg / dl is bit high.
It may not be a value to call you a diabetic.
There is a terminology called as pregnancy induced diabetes (gestational diabetes) . where pregnancy can cause increase in sugar value even in people who are normal and have no family history of diabetes.
Since you still have 4 months of pregnancy to go, you need to control your sugar level.
And you cant follow a strict diet control because of your pregnancy.
Insulin or metformin is usually prescribed for this condition.
Insulin is of injecteble and it is highly inconvienient. Metformin with recent studies has proven to be safe in pregnancy.
Take care
Bye
