5 Months Pregnant, Scan Shows Low Water, No Baby Movement. Any Treatment Other Than Bed Rest ?

iam 30 year old iam pregnant of 5month 6days iwas ok my baby movment was ok up to end of 5th month last weak i was went for my check up Dr scan and ask that water ( PLACEMA) IS low thats why baby is not moving its very dangers 4 baby cant survive without it .....and my lab reports are ok ...and Dr said there is no any treatment for that except bed rest

Hi,
Lowered amniotic fluid can result in complications of pregnancy depending on the stage of pregnancy, severity of the problem and the time of intervention. The mainstay of the treatment is rest in the lateral position to ensure better placental perfusion. In addition, restriction of activity is needed. Fluid intake may be increased in the hope that liquor may improve. In case of severe oligohydramnios when the maturity is not yet attained and the fetus is jeopardized, amnioinfusion can be tried. Have a regular thorough follow up with your doctor as you still have about 15 weeks to go to attain maturity, at 37 weeks. Wish you a safe delivery.
