5 Year Old Child, Pain Above Pubic Area, Slightly Hard, Swollen. Strained Muscles?

My 5 year old son is complaining " it hurts" right above his pubic area. It is possibly very slightly swollen and hard to the touch, like he is flexing his lower abdominal muscles. No other symptoms, he is happily eating breakfast right now. Is is possible it's just strained muscles or should I run him to the pediatrician?

Hello
As your son has hard swelling above pubic area . it is to be rule out that it is local muscular swelling or Hernia.
Chances of hernia is less becouse it is hard to touch , while the hernia is usually soft to touch.
but it needs to be examine the baby.
so i will advise you to go to a paediatrician and make sure.
ok
take care
