51 Yr Old, Having Heavy Periods, Had Pre-cancerous Cells Twice. What Should I Do ?

I am 51 and my periods for the last few years are so heavy, it makes it hard to go anywhere cause it squirts out the back. I have to sit on a pad the first few days. I also clot and when I stand after using the bathroom I will have a streak run down my leg. I have had pre-cancerous cells twice and my Mom had Cervical Cancer when she gave birth to me. What should I do?

Hello
Thanks for your query.
You should be on regular pap smear surveillance.
Also, at 51, with this heavy menstrual bleeding, you should have the following work up -
1. basic hormonal evaluation, complete blood count, coagulation profile, thyroid profile
2. Pelvic transvaginal ultrasound
3. Hysteroscopy and guided D and C if required.
Take care
