55 Years Old Female Suffering From Reoccurring Cough At Night. Is There Anything To Worry About ?
My mom is 55 years old and has a cough which comes and goes. The cough only happens at night but it does sound pretty bad. Should she be concerned or not and is there a home remedy for this problem?

it will be better to consult physician and get a medical check up .some times hypertensive heart diseases presents with nocturnal cough with breathlessness
pleas consult physician and get treatment
Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.Consult a cardiologist and get the ECHO done to rule out cardiac asthma as night cough could be because of pulmonary edema resulting from ventricular failure.Don't take the symptoms lightly. Thanks and good luck.
Hi,
Thanks for query,
During night cough collects in lungs on back side causing irritation and gets cough reflex.
Go for x ray chest to rule out chest infection like chronic bronchitis, broncheactesis etc.
Consult your doctor and go for antibiotic course.
She should take some cough suppressant.
Ok and bye.
