my daughter is 6yrs 3months now, wt 22kg, two episodes of febrile seisures one at the age of 3 yrs and second episode on 13 feb 13 (just a month back). currently she is again running viral fever with a kind of throat infection, mild running nose , cough has developed with slight flum, 4rd day today with temp varying between 100 - 103 degrees, we are giving her the following medicines - 1. Paracetamol 250 mg - 7ML on approximately 4.5hourly gap as the temp is shooting up again. Azhithromycin 200mg/5Ml - dose being given 6ML OD for 3 days. 2. Day before night we had to give her 10 Ml Combiflam (composition Ibuprufen 100mg, Paracetamol 162.5mg per 5 ml) 3. Whenever the temp is high we are also giving her sponging of body with room temp water. 4. on 14 mar, the temp at around 0930pm shot up to 104.8 and she vomitted completely along with the administered paracetamol 250mg 7ML and frisium . No convulsions occured, we gave her a room temp water bath, and gave combiflam 10 ML and frisium 5 mg, later she slept well for the night. 5. Day 3rd today and she is still running fever constantly. with lot of weakness developed. EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY IS CURRENTLY RUNNING THE SAME VIRAL FEVER, WHICH FIRST STARTED WITH MY HUSBAND FIRST AND THEN GOT SPREAD, THOUGH HE IS STILL HAVING MILD FEVER SPURTS AND COUGH ON HIS 5TH DAY TODAY please clarify :- 1. Medicines and dosage sufficient? 2. HOW DO WE COMPARE COMBIFLAM AND MEFENAMIC ACID (MAFTAL-P 100MG/5ML) WHICH ONE IS BETTER? WHEN CAN THEY BE GIVEN?
