7 Year Daughter, Suffering From Pain Around Neck, Swollen Glands, Tiny Mole. Anything To Worry?

My 7 year old daughter has been complaining of pain around her neck. Today she told me it hurt and she felt a bump so I checked. between her neck and ear on the left side i see a tiny mole and feels like a bump and red around it and glands seem swollen or something does and goes out an inch or so around that is tender and hurts. she said it has been bothering her for a while. Never noticed the mole even before this is this something I should be concerned about.

The most probable cause of such kind of neck swelling in 7 year old child is as follows:
• Mumps
• Acute Parotitis (inflammation of parotid gland)
• Adenitis (cervical lymphadenitis)
• Allergic reaction (rare) etc.
As this swelling seems to be inflamed, it is better that you consult a pediatrician and get you daughter examined.
