7 Year Old Child, Audible Clicking In Right Knee. History Of Femur Fx. Suggestions?

My 7 year old has audible clicking in her right knee for several months now. She is a competitive gymnast, but wanted to wait until after season to get it checked because it bothers her yet not in a painful way. She does have a history of femur fx in that leg at 3 yo. She is very active and it doesn't seem to limit her. What could be causing this?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

The clicking sound should not be a cause of concern if there is no limitation of movements. If there is pain or limitation of movement then she should be examined by the orthopedic surgeon.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter all the best.

Regards,
