8 Month Old With Rashes Spreading On The Body. Zyrtec Prescribed For Allergy. No Relief

My 8 month old has a rash outbreak on her body. It started off on her extremities but within the last 3 days has spread to her trunk and face. Some of them are dots, others are u shaped and some are rings. They are all raised up like welts. They all started out as just dots but have progressively gotten worse. Dr saw her a week ago when they were just dots and said it was an allergy and prescribed Zyrtec. It's not helping and they are progressively getting larger and covering more of her body. Any ideas?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

The description is suggestive of allergy. If you started him on any thing new like a new soap or oil or if you could identify a allergen please stop the same.

If there is no improvement with the antihistaminic please consult your doctor once.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
