8 Week Old Baby,stomach Bulge To One Side

why does my 8 wk old babies stomach buldge to one side my 8 Week old babies stomach bulges to one side when she is laying on her back? Another description is when she is on her back her stomach is half an inch puffier on her right side then her left .

There are few things I would like to know,

1) Where in the abdomen is the buldge seen?

2) When is it seen during the whole day?

3) Any movements observed on the buldge?



If it is a stomach buldge, seen on the right side of upper abdomen then it is normal and there is nothing to worry. In scaphoid (thin) abdomen there are possibilities of observing a dilated stomach after meals in the right side of the upper abdomen.

The anatomy of the stomach makes it puffier on the right side than the left.
