8 Year Old, Not Having Food On His Own, Takes Lots Of Time To Eat. Should I Go For Cypon?
Hello Sir, My son is 8 years old. He never eats food (rice, roti etc) on his own since childhood. Everytime his mother insists him to eat. It takes 1 hour make him eat in one time. He is thin and look like lazy behavior. Though he is very interested in Playing games, watching cartoon serials. Please advise me if I go for cypon.
cypon is medicine for increasing appetite but it has its own side effects.wat is the weight of your son and wat is his height.these paramaters will decide whether your child is malnourished or not or any intervention is needed or not at present.i will advise you to regularly plot his weight and height on growth charts and if found any deviation from his normal peers thn only opt fot interventions.
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Cypon contains an oral antihistamine and it causes sedation and drowsiness even though it increase appetite to some extent. Personally I don't suggest using Cypon. Instead try to give more calorie and protein dense foods such as chikkies which are made of ground nuts and jaggery. Encourage him to feed himself. Discourage watching television excessively. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
