8 Year Old, Sharp Pain In Upper Side Close To Ribs. Had Fever. Playing Football. Treatment?

My 8 year old son is complaining of sharp pain in his upper right and sometimes left sides. Close to his ribs. It hurts most of the time when he laughs, coughs or sneezes. He is playing football but doe not tackle and has hot been tackled. He ran a fever two days ago, only 101 but it went away the next day. Not sure what to do.

Pediatrician, Neonatology 's  Response
Hi,

If there was no injury,it may be due to mild pleural irritation.

Show him to a doctor if he does not respond to simple paracetamol.

Good luck
