8 Yr Old Autistic Suffers From Smelly Nose Breath, Asthmatic, Tried Saline Drops, Nasonex, No Much Relief. Any Ideas ?
Hi - my 8 year old son who is autistic suffers from smelly nose breath when he gets a cold. He also is asthmatic when he gets a cold. The nose smell is foul and lasts much longer than the cold. We have tried paediatric saline drops and Nasonex nasal spray (50 mgs mometasone furoate) which do not seem to have any lasting effect. The smell does go away after some time only to return with the next slight cold or allergic reaction . Any ideas?

your son might be suffering from sinusitis, he requires a course of antibiotics in addition to the above supportive measures. kindly get a pediatrician to examine him.
