Hello,

Possible causes for ear throbbing and tinnitus are:
1. Middle ear infection.
2. Glu ear.
3. Allergies.
4. Meniere's disease.
5. Age related sensori-neural deafness.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use water vapour inhalation thrice a day and salt water gargling thrice a day. If symptoms not improved please get it done tympanogram and audiometry then get treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
