Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. Generally all patients will be worried about the surgical procedure and have lot of doubts in their minds regarding the procedure. I really wonder why you are so much concerned about the type of anesthesia. Any previous bitter experiences?
The type of anesthesia for both core decompression and THR will be combined spinal anesthesia and epidural analgesia ( which will take off your pain in the immediate post op period and make you move around comfortably ). The stay in the hospital for both the procedures would be around 5-7 days depending upon your recovery. Hope this helps. Good day
