Abdominal Cramping And Menstrual Bleeding After 6 Months. Took Facet Injection In Lumbar Area. Side Effects Of Medication?
I was just reading the previous comment which is somewhat similar ? I am 53,haven't had a period for maybe six months. Three weeks ago I Had a facet injection in lumbar area and am booked for the other side in 3 days- I have had lower abdominal cramping these last few weeks and now have been bleeding for about 5 days?? Seems very strange and disconcerting to me
* Facet injection can cause bleeding, particularly in the urine along with burning sensation while passing urine. Likewise, it can also cause, though infrequently, uterine bleeding due to deranged blood-clotting mechanism.
* However, menopause too- at times- is preceded by irregular/less frequent bleeding. It is therefore difficult to distinguish between the two.
* Since you are already booked for the next shot, you may discuss the matter with your treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query.
