Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
The foremost important point from your query is the fluid present in the
peritoneal cavity (which could be due to a serious complication, making your condition an emergency one).
If the current diagnosis is sub-
acute appendicitis, then this could in no time turn into acute appendicitis which is characterized by symptoms like:
anorexia, shifting pain, nausea/
vomiting,
fever and so on, depending on the complications. Acute appendicitis predisposes the individual to a number of serious complications, which can easily be avoided in today's world.
Due to the poor knowledge and experience in this area, there were many deaths in the past, due to a delay in treatment, resulting in multiple complications. Complications include:
-Appendicular perforation (which results in rupture of the appendiz and accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity--as seen in your case)
-Gangrene
-Appendicular lump
-Appendicular abscess
and so on.
I request you to not delay this any further, and go in for an immediate surgery. 20-25 days can lead to very serious complications.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
