Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im a 19 years old , I have a pluse that runs form 100 to 110. The doctors haven t hear anything wrong with my heart , and think just my heart. I just became a CNA and when I up moving people form chair to bed and run around , that my pulse is 132. but then , if I set down for like less then 30 sec it go down to like 108. do this mean I have a problem and should I go to a doctor about it.
Hello, Thanks for your query. The pulse rate which you had mentioned 132/minute is above normal. Any form of physical exertion, fever, stress, tea, coffee intake, smoking can increase your heart rate. I would suggest you that you visit your doctor & let him evaluate you clinically. Also an electrocardiogram can detect if there is any abnormality in the heart rhythm. Take care.
Hi, Thanks for writing in. Your pulse rate is a little above average but not abnormal, unless you have any symptoms. There are a number of reasons to have a pulse rate above which is above average like anemia, anxiety, stress, exercise, excess thyroid production. I think to get reassurance you should do one complete blood count, ECG & thyroid screening (TSH levels). If all these are normal. You should not worry & take it as normal. Best regards.
