Acidity, Indigestion, Increases During Menstrual Period, Having Good Diet, Diarrhoea. Suggestion?
Hi , I am suffering from frequent acidity and indigestion problems. The problem increases during the Menstrual period. I eat moderately, generally eat home cooked food which is not too spicy. The Acidity problem comes and goes, sometimes I suffer from diarreah/ loose stools due to this. Can you please suggest what should I do and regarding food what can I eat.
Some ladies do suffer from couple of loose stools and lower abdomen pain on the first day of periods. Don't worry..if it is just 2-3 times.
Please do the following: Have bland food like rice gruel with salt to taste, curd rice etc. Avoid spicy, oily and fatty food. Avoid carbonated beverages, tea and coffee. Avoid smoking and alcohol. Drink warm water at regular intervals. Regular exercise 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. Pantoprazole might help reduce symptoms of acidity.
Hope this information was helpful to you.
Regards, Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan.
