Admitted To Hospital For Severe Bladder Infection, Put Into Self Inducted Coma. Could He Be On Life Support ?
My friends Husband aged 55 was admited to hospital for service bladder infection on 13th, on 14th spectic shock had set in and was rushed into ICU and put in to a self inducted coma - we are in spain and have a language barrier, we are unsure if he is on life support as there are so many machines around him, and to day were told not change and may be prepare for the worst
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that husband of your friend ids admitted in ICU in comatose condition due to what is called as Septicaemia. Since he is ICU and in coma he is likely to be on ventilator(Life Support). Please continue whatever treatment he is getting and hope for the best outcome and recovery. Dr.Patil.
