MRI LUMBER SPINE : There is a relatively large central focal disc prolapse at L5-S1,indenting the anterior surface of the thecal sac, and probably reaching the left sided root.it also causes a sagnificant degree of canal stenosis.other disks appear healthy.

These discs are small flat structures which has got prolapsed into the spinal canal posteriorly and is causing pressure effects on the left nerve root in your case. It is one of the commonest areas of disc degeneration.
