Hello,
It is my pleasure to help you.
I had gone through your history.
You may acquire all the STIs. For my patients with this history I would have advised battery of tests to detect the different STI infections. These may be
1.To check for chlamydia and
gonorrhea -
Pap smear results take about a week. 2. If I see genital warts, caused by the
human papillomavirus it mus be removed at the earliest.
3.Other forms of the virus can usually be detected with a Pap test.
4.HIV,
herpes, and
hepatitis B and C require a
blood test to diagnose.
Particularly for HIV most people will develop
antibodies that standard HIV tests can detect within 2-8 weeks.
But, there is a chance that some people will take longer to develop antibodies. So, you may need multiple tests to ensure you were not infected.
For example, if you got an HIV test within the first three months after possible exposure, you should get another test after three months ,because majority of people will develop antibodies in the first three months following the time of their infection.
While there is no cure for HIV, ART drugs may help, hepatitis and herpes can be treated or controlled with drugs.
Hope I have answered most of your query.Feel free to post the query regarding your problem.
Thank you
