Am I Pregnant Inspite Of Having A Visible Line On T Section Of Pregnancy Kit?
Hi, i had my last period on 10th feb and was suppose to get the next period some where between 8th March, but it skipped, so i checked my preganancy by using a Velocit Pregnancy testing kit, where as it showed dark line in C Section a very lite (But Visible )line on T section, so iam confused if iam pregnant or not, can you all pls help me to know this...

I understand the issue and it is very common. The reasons for weak positive or doubtful results are:
1. faulty kit: may happen sometimes due to storage conditions or exposure to very hot or cold temperatures etc.
2. false positive: inherent error in the kit
3. tested too early when HCG levels were not high enough to give a strong positive results.
4. reading the result after more than 5 minutes. Sometimes a faint line may be seen after more than 10-15 minutes and may be mistaken for pregnancy.
The test is best done after at least 7-10 days after the missed period in women with regular cycles. The first morning sample of urine must be used.
I suggest that you retest using a new kit and using the first morning urine sample at least 10 days after the missed period and read the results in 5 minutes. If it is still faint positive get a blood test or an ultrasound for confirmation.
