Am Pregnant. Hypothyroid Patient. On Thrronorm For Years. Have Varying TSH Levels. Should I Increase The Dose?
hi me 30 years old .i am pregnant for 2 months.already a hypothyroid patient.having 100 mcg thrronorm for past 10 years.now at starting of my pregnancy it was 0.4 tsh level .after 2 weeks tsh level came to 2.2 then again after 2 weeks level came to 4.6.still i have been asked to take 100 mcg.pls tell me wether i have to increase the dose

Your TSH is slightly high 4.6. It is true requirement increases in pregnancy and in first 3 months TSH should be Please check your FT3, FT4 and TSH and consult a Endocrinologist for keeping optimum thyroid function for optimum result. If there is any increase in dose of Thyroxine only to be done with consultation of your Physician/Endocrinologist only do not increase by yourself.
