Amenorrhoea, Prickly Pain In Lower Abdomen. History Of Irregular Cycles, Not Sexually Active. Suggestions?
hi, i am a 24 yrs old lady experiencing amenorrhea for 4 months now. i usually have slight prickly pain in my lower abdomen which last for a few seconds(like 5- 20 secs) and goes away, only to return in weeks or months. i have not had a regular menstrual cycle in months now and i am not sexually active. any advice would be helpful. Most common cause of this type of presentation is PCOS. IF your periods were very irregular from the begining and you are obese , then chances of PCOS is high . However there are many other causes also . It is important for you being investigated , so that cause could be known and properly treated. You will be given progesterone for few days to see whether you are having withdrawl bleeding with progesterone or not.
