Hi and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your question...
Firstly, let me clarify that feeling anxious at certain times or situations is normal for everyone. In fact sometimes, a mild level of anxiety, for example before an exam or an interview, can be a driving force to perform better.
However, anxiety becomes a problem when: 1) it becomes excessive or disproportionate to the situation / stimulus or 2) it starts affecting our performance or day-to-day functioning. Anxiety disorders can be of various types -
generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, etc. Anxiety or irrational fear can also for specific stimuli leading to avoidance of those stimuli... these irrational fears are called phobias.
Now, as far as your problem is concerned, your fears or anxiety seem to be causing you distress. Also, having negative thoughts and a feeling of impending doom also seem to indicate that your anxiety is excessive. Moreover, you also seem to be having physical symptoms of anxiety like shakiness, tightness of the chest, sweating, etc. Hence, I would suggest that you do seek help for your problems. Help is available in various forms... talking therapies, behaviour therapies, self help therapies, medication, etc.
All the best.
