Any Chances Of Lungs To Collapse Again If It Has Collapsed Twice Earlier Due To Nodules?
If someone had a lung collapse because of nodules twice in ten days is there a good likelyhood that that lung would collapse again. This person is already missing 3/4 of the other lung due to Valley Feaver, it was taken out in his 2o's. He is now 50 and I am concerned that maybe I should not continue dating him if he is going to be on an air machine or something...He says that it won't happen again and that there is only a 3% chance that it would. My concern is that it was on his good lung! Please let me know, thanks! Cathy
Yes there are chances of lung collapse of the disesed side ,however if the other lung is normal then no to worry about that side. depending on the etiological reason ofcollapse of the diseased lung we could determine the risk of the normal side.
