Any Cure For Abdominal Pain With Family History Of Diverticulitis?
I have lower abdominal pain that seems to increase in severity over a few days. The only way I can describe it is that it is an aching in the intestinal area. I have had this happen a couple of other times. I don t seem to be constipated. It is akin to period pain. My family has a history of divertaticulitise (sorry don t know how to spell that one!!)
hello sir. Mainstay of treatment in diverticulitis is surgery only. it can not be treated by medicines. since you have positive family history I advice you to go for complete checkup as most of the time diverticulitis is turn in to cancer and chances become high when you have family history. meanwhile you can take some symptomatic treatment for pain (dicycloamine+pantoprazol). I again insist you to go for complete checkup. thank you PS: prevention is always better then cure.
