Any Diet Plan To Avoid Intestines Coming Through Stomach Lining?
I had surgery on a hernia in my stomach a couple inches above my waist, said was my intestines coming through stomach lining, had to push back in and stitch up. I was wondering if there is anything way I need to eat different to keep this from happening again?
You already have undergone the repair surgery of your abdominal wall hernia wherein the intestines were popping through. Once the healing occurs the intestines can not come out. Hence you can have absolutely normal diet s before. As a precaution you should avoid anything that causes constipation as hard stools cause straining on the abdominal wall muscles that in turn can lead to weakness of abdominal wall and thus cause recurrence of hernia. Also avoid heavy exercises of any sort for 9 months, the period needed for full strength to the operated abdominal wall. I hope the Surgeon has put in the prolene mesh. No special diet is needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
