Any Risk Element In Reversing Tubectomy And Opting For A Child?

Hi Madam/Sir,

My wife underwent 2 cesarion deliveries, doctors also have done tubectemy, we actually did not want it but there was a communication gap in doing this. My wife's age is 28 now, we want to reverse the tubectemy and want to have one more child possibly after 3 yrs.

What is the risk element involved in reversing tubectemy and opting for one more child?

I sincerely thank your suggestion. May god bless you.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

The chances of success of tubectomy reversal is only 30 to 40%.
The surgery is relatively expensive also.
After surgery if conceives problems like ectopic pregnancy can occur.
And also third cesarean section is risky because of possible adhesions, possibility of uterine scar dehiscence etc.
After considering all these factors if you still want to go for reversal you can consult local gynecologist.
