My heart beats 3 times fast then its stop. This happens all nigh long. No drugs. No alcohol. I only take synthroid 150 mg. I also feel like a vibration inside my head and chest. I was in the hospital on february 21, 2014 they did stress test, Ecocardiogram, EKG and carothid ultrasound. They told me that I have PAC and sinus arrythmia. Send me home with no medication. Now my palpitations dont let me sleep at night. Please help me.
Hi, As you told that you have PAC (premature atrial complexes) and sinus tachycardia. You are on synthroid 150mcg which is a thyroid hormone supplement given for low thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism).
As you have mentioned your symptoms and investigations done for which, and diagnosis given to you as PAC and Sinus arrhythmia.
Your symptoms and diagnosis given can be due to over dose of Synthroid, to know it you should do Thyroid function test (Free T3, T4, TSH).
If there is increased Free T4 and low level of TSH your dose of synthroid should be reduced according to report.
In your current scenario to reduce your symptoms and heart rate non selective Beta blockers are useful.
