Hi, I had gone through your query and understand your concerns. You have a problem of recurrent
Urinary tract infections(UTIs).May I suggest the following:
1.A urinary culture and antibiotic sensitivity test. This test will help in identifying the causative microorganism and also guide for appropriate antibiotics. This test can be done at any pathology laboratory, preferably give the early morning voided sample of urine.
2.A blood
glucose test, this will help to rule out
diabetes ,as diabetes is most common cause of recurrent UTIs.
3.A CT scan;here i would like to clarify that CT scan is safe and the dose of
radiation used in CT scan is low and does not cause any cancer. So be assured that you can safely undergo CT scan.As you have mentioned that your
ultrasound did not determine anything, doing a CT scan is worthwhile.
recurrent UTIs could be due to
kidney stone or due to untreated diabetes.
Also I will suggest you to drink at least 4-5 liter of water daily. This helps in clearing the organisms and thud prevents UTI.
You should also take a mild antepyretic like
paracetamol 500 mg for your fever and chills.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
