General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

Persistence of cough & congestion even after completion of antibiotic therapy indicates the persistence of the causative organism/ etiological factor.
Kindly consult her treating Doctor for antibiotics based on culture & sensitivity reports.
The symptoms of getting sick once every 02 weeks as mentioned in your post suggest that your daughter might be having Tracheo-bronchial allergy.

Management includes:
1. Antihistamine preparations like Allegra & Cough expectorant syrup for symptomatic relief.
2. Montelukast preparation at night as a maintenance therapy.
3. Maintain adequate hydration & a healthy balance diet.
4. Warm salt water gargle & steam inhalation.
5. Also make sure that she is well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.

Wishing her a good health.
Take care.
