Hi, I have a long-term numbness, tingling, swooshing, and major loss of hearing in my right ear. I had a traumatic event (pounding headache) that led to my presenting in the ER and subsequently being diagnosed/given chemo treatments for CLL, I was immensely anaemic upon presenting and received copious amounts of blood infusion prior to the chemo. The weird thing is that the doctors at MD Anderson saw no correlation to the chemo. So, I went to a neurologist who saw no indication of tumor and an ENT who saw nothing. The ENT s staff Audiologist saw only slight hearing loss (very strange since I can hear nothing when covering my right ear lobe). The only thing I have heard that makes any sense to me came from an Audiologist with Mayo Clinic who spoke of micro-vessel conditions where traumatic pounding (such as the massive headache aforementioned) causes vessels to shift near the eardrum and masks the hearing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
