for 2 months now, i have had unilateral tinnitus (right ear), no hearing loss or vertigo. doc did MRI, no vestibular schwannoma or cerebellopontine angle mass found. MRI mentioned mild mucosal thickening in ethmoidal air cells. recently, the ringing went from low pitch to sometimes high-pitch. in the morning there's less ringing but more pressure in the ear, it changes to more ringing and less pressure as the day progresses. 2 days ago, i felt some dizziness (similar to the buzzed feeling after some alcohol). went to urgent care with no major findings, was prescribed meclizine. any idea what's wrong with me? thanks!
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, unilateral tinnitus without the hearing loss and no positive finding in MRI then this could be depression associated tinnitus, this will best responds to tranquilizer and the best option is "Tab chlorodiazepoxide one tab three times in day" hope this information helps have nice day.
