I recently had my 6 mth MRI to "watch" a vestibular schwannoma. I'm not concerned about the schwannoma, because it has not grown. However, the report stated "Scattered T2/FLAIR hyperintensities within the hemispheric white matter may reflect mild age-advanced microvascular ischemic disease, sequela of prior infection/inflammation or migraine. I'm 50 years old. Not overweight, do not smoke or drink. I have a healthy blood pressure. However, my cholesterol level has been moderately high. What does this mean? Should I be concerned?
